Otago University Downhillers

Postby NZpushbiker on Mon 29/Mar/10 3:18pm

Hello
I was just wondering if there were any on this website. I saw a guy with a Sunday World Cup on campus so I thought there might be a few on here.
I don't know any places to ride DH in Dunedin or DJ for that matter.
Anyone know any places?
Thanks

The BMX track at Forrester Park is also quite popular :)

I was at Signal tonight, the tracks are looking good. Had a go down the 4X track, I'm pretty slow but it was fun!

is the 4x track accessiable from the bottom at loagn park? it looked super fun in the photos of the champs the other weekend. I'm not feeling fit enough to ride up signal hill road at hte moment though haha. I took my gf around jubilee tonight though, lots of fun and the first time she's really ridden anything than open trails

Yup, just push on up to the start gate at the top of the track :)

Should be, they were good enough for the Oceania champs less than 2 weeks ago!!

Track conditions can deteriorate quite rapidly here. Get a decent rain and a lot of the tracks become muddy and slushy. Luckily we have had a lot of wind and unseasonably warm temperatures resulting in the tracks drying out more rapidly than usual after the rain we had a few days ago.
