Old Waimak Bridge Out

Postby Fergie on Fri 13/May/11 11:12pm

The Old Waimakiriri Bridge is out. Was planning to ride out to the race at Eyreton tomorrow. Are we allowed to cycle along the Motorway seeing there is no access to Old Waimak Bridge.

When it was closed due to high water levels in December, there was a City Care truck shuttling cyclists across the motorway bridge. While I was hitching a lift however, there were a couple of cyclists that just rode the motorway >shrugs<

There's a big sign up saying open to pedestrians and cyclists only.
