I only do that for computer file names. No other way keeps them in order.

This.

And I heartily approve of this thread. Good gravy.

This Monday is Monday of the current week, so has passed us by, but seeing as it's Thursday, we're close enough to next week to refer to Monday-next-week as "this Monday"... The Monday after that is "next Monday".

Generally just dropping the "this" and using "Monday" to mean the Monday one will next arrive at, and "next Monday" for the one following works for me. Clear?

So yeah, you seem to be a prime candidate for needing a calendar - today is WEDNESDAY (i hope, I have stuff to do on Thursday).

Also, as per previous comment somewhere up there you seem to fall into the 'generally avoid' category

in the interests of zero ambiquity, I am now simply refering to 'this coming monday' as =TODAY()-WEEKDAY(TODAY())+IF(WEEKDAY(TODAY())>=2,2+7,2) and 'next thursday' as =TODAY()-WEEKDAY(TODAY())+IF(WEEKDAY(TODAY())>=5,5+14,5+7)
