The transition to E-moto is almost complete.

Motorbikes as we know it started as bicycles with petrol motors attached. They evolved quickly into full petrol powered motorbikes and the pedal assist bikes were largely abandoned.

History repeats.

Fingers crossed the distinction becomes so clear again.

Everything in my gut is telling me that this is a bad idea. But maybe it's just my brain failing to deal with how far out the box the thinking is here.

They went to all that trouble to outboard the cassette and didn't outboard the rotor?

The roadies still worry about dangers of in board disc brakes... I cringe at the carnage when the outboard cassette meets flesh in a prang. Chain ring scars are a common enough badge of honor, this takes it to a new level.

Nice to see actual innovation rather than incremental tinkering

Seem like a more useful design for a belt drive rather than a chain avoiding the need for a gap in the chainstay. Without the wide cluster and instead a single belt pulley the rear triangle could retain a bit of width too.

From the same page, this stem/steerer combo seems like a more useful design. Having a bearing above the stem seems like a useful addition, and also allow for the current trend of aero roadbikes having the top tube aligned with the stem. Shame about the lack of stops though, the paint is already mashed from the stem bashing into the side of the slot.
