Looks to me like they're doing that asymmetrical thing for the benefit of being able to chuck a belt drive (Gates Carbon etc) in? Only reason i can see. Being carbon frame (or is it wood?), might not like having a split in the rear triangle...??


They claim it was to get the short chainstays they wanted - as short as 15.75 inches!

But it does also look like a belt will work. I'm intrigued.

Oh now I see it - so short that the chainring and the wheel overlap. I'd love to know how much clearance they've got between those two :crazy:

still -look on the bright side. if the tyre picks up a pebble big enough (ie. >5mm) you'll soon have water drain hole for your BB.
