Mountain bikes with heaps of travel to mong into don't need a great deal of fitting.....

Fair call, but having roughly the right size helps absorb some of the fail

Oh yeah, you want the right frame size :D ..... And to set the sag correctly, and to have everything in a comfortable position. Unless you've got injuries or something all you need to do a good job of that is preferably one other person to help you set the sag.
The rest has a lot more tolerance than on rigid mountain bikes or roadies.

I'd go the Trance SX from Burks at that price.
Just so you know, depending on your weight, you will be running a shit load of pressure to get the debonair <30% sag.
I brought the SX and need just shy of the max psi =350psi for 28% sag. I weigh between 95- 98kg.
Since I am yet to hit the limit of travel I may try more sag in the future just to get the pressure down.

Also, after setting your fore/aft position on the seat post, remember to torque that single seat bolt to max. torque before riding. Depending on your riding style you may find the seat unexpectedly tilts if you hit the nose or the rear of the seat. Mine still shifts a little (maybe that one ride smoothed off the grippy bits) may try adding araldite to help secure the assembly if need be.

Id test a Kona 153dl over the 134dl. But doubt you will find any 153dl in the large size. They all sold a long time back. Besides they are too expensive.
I would have no concerns buying online from Burks. I think its free shipping also.

Yeah I've found the same with the giant dropper post. Single bolt's not so flash and from time to time your seat will move around. Apparently it's still the best "budget" dropper.

Thanks guys, one of what appear to be the last 2 Size M 2015 Trance SX bikes in the country is on its way to me now courtesy of the guys at Burkes.

Can't wait for new shinies to arrive. Patience is NOT my strong suit when it comes to new toys.
