heres some news,
he crushed his 5th verterbrae but his spinal cord is still in tact, so he is not paralysed. the news paper article to me was pretty stupid, his dad says he doesnt expect him to walk again, then goes on to say he has feeling in his feet and hands, and they expect him to sit up on saturday, well if thats so i cant see why he wont be able to walk again

When I talked with his teacher it sounded like Jared is regaining feeling in his arms, which is a good sign, but they're still unsure of his legs.

Here's hoping he makes a full recovery. He went to Waimea College, is there Vorbii out there at Waimea?

Dunnit and almost dunnit.

Donated my fiver, and have had a crash where I landed on my head in a crumpled mess... no serious damage to me, but it took a few tense moments to figure that out.

I hope Jared has a full recovery. There is hope seings as he has some feeling. I have a freind of a friend who has no feeling below the waist, yet is walking around and back at work full-time.

He's in Christchurch at Burwood Hospital - but he is a Nelson rider and the accident happened in Blenheim on the Nationals Track (Strom Peak?)

Having broken my back once ( three crushed vertebrae) I know a little of what he is going through, all the best of British !

ouch...the most i have done to my back is put it out of place a few times....nothing compared to what is happenig around me...maybe i should stop complaining about it..? ive idslocated my shoulder once though...that was painfull but breaking your neck........takes it to another level!
