16 mm rain over night friday up on cashmere.

at the planting on saturday afternoon (in Vic Park, just above Pono's) some dumbasses rode by below us. one loser even crashed right in front of us, cos the trail was so greasy. Steve gave them a rark up, told them to look at the website...

ponos was soaking wet friday afternoon BEFORE the rain - we were running up the 4wd watching a few DHers (sifty uni students?) having a less than great time on it (and a special big thumbs up to the DH hero who decided to 'pin it' down the curtis' land and see how close he could get to us - I'm soooo impressed by dhers who can ride a big, wide, flat 4wd track 'balls out')

I am sorry to get really worked up about this but WTF!!
I went for a ride on my road bike and on the way down Dyres pass road i saw you guys in your car driving up in the rain. 'The riders had no option but to go down', why did you go up in the first place...GO BACK DOWN IN THE CAR IF NOTHING ELSE!

And i agree...the tracks don't exactly look dry :hmmm:

(BTW Dyers pass is not fun in the rain  )

So you were "just standing there" with your camera in the rain at Brake Free and some unknown random riders just happened to ride past? You then walked down to the skidder site and they suddenly appeared again? You had no idea they would be there riding wet tracks and in no way planned to be there photographing them?

In fact, it would be really good to have an ace photographer like Wuffy at build days then we could show the Vorbsensus what actually gets done up there  ;)
