Farkin' Awesome Day!!!

Got car 4 in the convoy looking after Tina Mayolo-Pic's team as well as the Mighty Bagelettes, so got to see heaps of action.

Weirdest thing of the day was the cops had a radar gun down the Terrace to catch the convoy speeding!?!WTF?!? "Sorry Officer, we'll race slower next time"...A motorbike cop also pulled over one of the Italian directors - she told me he said it was because her tyres were squealing going around the corner out of Murphy St...Pathetic.

Saw British Champion Nicole Cook shortly after her crash into the back of an idiot neutral support vehicle that cut her off...I've never seen carbon forks in so many pieces! She looked banged up but okay, luckily.

Never had to change any wheels, so it was a cruisy day at the office for this happy mechanic.

And impressive ride by Sarah. I had to have a lap out for *cough* some reason, so I got to see her come through the feed zone like an express train. She looked like she was out for a cruise, but the girls chasing her were on the rivet.

Thanks too for all the cheery waves and halloos from my friendly Vorb whanau - great to see the Vorb massiv represent at the roadie styles...Chur, guys!

Farkin' Awesome! :)

Here's a pic of Robyn Wong, who backed up from her bronze medal ride at Oceanias by driving down from Vegas overnight. She survived the race in the front chasing bunch until the last few laps, where her incredible efforts finally caught up with her. Great ride, Rob!

Nope. The cops were screaming at the commissaires over race radio that they were going to pull cars out of the convoy if we didn't slow down...100kph down the Terrace isn't too fast, is it? :eh:
