More Doc Tracks In The Eastern Bay

'The Department of Conservation is looking at new riding areas around the East Coast of the North Island. This area is undeveloped for mountain biking but has some fantastic terrain and lots of relatively under utilized tracks/ trails/ old logging roads etc:

A little bird whispered in my ear that DoC have been pleasantly surprised by the immense popularity of the Whirinaki trail (near the Urerewas National Park) and are also looking at developing more trails in that area. I think we have a good opportunity to keep the momentum going with this way of thinking.'

Follow the link and send in a submission as DoC is thinking of building tracks in the Opotiki/Waioeka area, and possibly more tracks at Whirinaka. We have to show DoC that there is a demand for tracks of this nature in our area.
