Make it legal, and then the playing field will be totally legal. Also, drug manufacturers will be able to focus on making drugs that are safe rather than drugs that can't be detected.

Make it legal and more and more riders will use more drugs to the point that more will die from it like in the past. I cant believe someone really has that attitude. I hope your joking.

I think you have been getting a bit happy with your baboons as of late......
On the other side of the coin Rassmusen hasn't tested positive for drugs at any of his tests.

He has not tested positve because he purposely avoided being tested.. Then at his convenience he has agreed to a test on the third request of the UCI as he new a 3rd refusal would be a positve test. This allows him to be tested when it suits him ( ie after he has stopped using the testosterone patch to enhance his recovery or whatever ) He is pushing the legal boundarys and has crossed the moral boundary if you ask me........ No its not illegal but the UCI must have to look at a law change on this one.

Nah, I'm totally not. Look at whats been happening since they started cracking down on drugs - all that happens now is that those who get snapped for drugs go and kill themselves in hotel rooms two years after they're caught... Why not just let them go out in a blaze of glory while racing? :eh:

Here's how it stands - right now, everyone assumes all cyclists use drugs because so many get caught... But everyone thinks that only a few get caught, and they think that the lucky drug users still get to win races. So the message to youngsters is that if you use drugs, you might get unlucky and get shamed out OR you might get lucky and win the TdF and get to bone Sheryl Crowe. On the other hand, if cyclists were allowed to use drugs then occasionally one would die painfully on live TV.

What has a better chance of keeping kids off drugs - the threat of having to nail a pretty, famous and rich blonde... Or the thread of having your heart explode? :eh:

. As for the Yank with the blood in his hand luggage why has it taken him 5 years to accuse someone of this. He poured the contents down the sink, so Rassmusen couldn't have used it anyway. Maybe he bought it but chickened out.
The "yank" states that he reported it after he saw the chicken give a press conference and tell the world " im clean". That obviously sent him in to a fit of rage knowing he has not always been "clean". Two sides to every story though.

Just ignore happy babbon, hes just stirring. Only an idiot would advocate such rubbish and despite the content of most of his post I don't think Mr Babbon is that silly.

last year, I wrote:Like I keep saying, have a supercharged class and let them go nuts on the alps with an ambulance and hearse in tow.

I'm over watching road cycling these days. Anyone who wins is instantly under suspicion, which is any wonder given the it seems to be like half the field is jacked.

horrible, horrible stuff.

Level playing field for all. Let 'em all take the juice and let's see who can handle the jandal, at least then it's a fair fight.

Failing to report his daily whereabouts is more of an issue I guess. The process of notifying your whereabouts 365 days of the year must be a pain though... why don't the UCI put electronic monitoring bracelets on all the riders like prisoners on home detention?

You dont really need to report your whereabouts 365 days a year.. Just answer your cell phone or reply to the email asking where you are. There is no exuse in a sport where cheating is rampant.

yes you do. if you're on the move from city to city, or if you own more than one house, or go on holiday or even away for the weekend, you have to be the proactive one and let the authorities know. if they show up and you're away and haven't told them, then it's viewed as "avoiding" testing or "hiding" - and with it comes the inference you're doping.
