Or it's a sign that he values his privacy, and doesn't want dozens of cycling journalists interrupting his training by asking if he's doping :eh:

This is the next tui add

What are you saying? Last night, I turned off the TV and had a ride through a park that was once part of a kings hunting grounds, on my new single speed 29er.

Cycling is far from bullshit. :)

Surely if contador is keeping up on the hills he must be cheating too?? same for evans.

And if it turns out over time he cheated then so be it, but i would prefer to look at life and this tour as the cup half full rather than half empty. Otherwise life has no joy as you look for the dark side in everything.

My cup runneth over

It is still cheating if you sneak off and do drugs while nobody is looking. If you can't sacrifice a little bit of your privacy in the build up to the tour in order to remain free from suspicion, then you don't deserve to ride the tour.

(From everything I've read I'm pretty sure...) HE DIDN'T MISS ENOUGH TESTS FOR THEM TO CALL IT A POSITIVE...

He missed enough to get a warning, if he had missed one more he would have been in trouble. Whats the point of having regulations if you get dragged through shit without breaking them?

I dont think it is juat about drug taking. Lying to his team is more the problem.

He missed enough tests in dodgy enough circumstances for Rabobank to stop paying him any more money.

I am not saying that he was on the juice, but I don't think that there has been any injustice done.

Admittedly what he did to the team isn't cool, but I would have thought that having him in yellow, and still clear of any drug claims (the UCI still can't call anything a positive) and winning the tour would have been better for the company reputation, than 'we're winning, but fuck him, he's out!'...

Maybe I just don't get it cos I'm a fanboy

Look, when Vino crashed, he crashed on the same spot as someone else and there blood got into his cut and thats why he tested positive for blood doping, it's true, it's true

He did break the regulations by not being where he had declared to the UCI he would be... and then he lied about it.

His team has rightly fired him for his deception in avoiding the testing process and I wouldn't be too surprised that once the UCI have been brought up to date with the rationale behind Rabobank's decision (McQuaid has said that Rabobank hasn't yet consulted them), then they will also be wanting a chat with Rasmussen.

Good riddance to him.
