IT'S BACK

The downtown Mount Maunganui Critierum is back and is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever. On the same downtown road circuit. This criterium course offers high paced action on closed roads.

The circuit is 1.1km and with spectators of well over 5,000 this is going to make for an awesome event.

We have grades for everyone so come along and give it a go.

PRIZE MONEY
Prize money will be awarded to the top three finishes in the Elite Male & Female sections. All other grades will be awarded prizes for finishing on the podium.

The prize money is as follows.

1st $1,000
2nd $500
3rd $250

C Grade (Ave Speed 28km's - 32km's)

I raced this a couple of years ago, and it's a blast.. huge crowds and a tight circuit. I am in the BoP for xmas this year so good to have a bit of racing happening!

Bummer, I would have been there making up the numbers in C Grade if I was around, but I am going to Nelson on the 27th.

Damn, I have been wanting this to come back for ages, and now im not going to be there!

The Mt crit is going to be a massive night down on the in city course. Elite riders knocking it up, mouties going road style and dudes doing the undy 500.
Its going to be great....cant wait for it.

I might enter the knobly fat tyre if I'm not wrenching on site.

can't overstate how cool the location is, with the huge holiday maker crowds etc.. and circuit is flat out from memory with no hotdog turns.

gotta love the blue lakes i have to admit i can't water ski tried a couple of times.. but the knack always seemed to escape me .. a boarder on the snow so maybe i should have tried that on the lake
