A great turnout this morning with another 100 plants in the ground.

Thanks to Zac, Ranger Steve, Dave and son, Andrew and son, Mark, Karl, Rob and Simon. Hope I didn't miss anyone. Thanks again.

Next planting party is 21 August. See the Makara Peak website for details.

Makara Peak Evening Spring Releasing (weeding and mulching)

Wednesday 16th November: Cnr South Karori Rd/Hazelwood Ave @ 6pm.

Come along and help the trees we planted over the winter beat the grass and weed growth which takes off during spring.

Meet just down from the main car park towards the overflow car park on the corner of South Karori Rd and Hazelwood Ave (the big grassy bank). From 6pm, food, drink and gloves provided. It should be a quick 1 hour job.

The weather is forecast to clear by this evening so fingers crossed that it should be a good for weeding and mulching the new plants at Makara Peak tonight. Gumboots might be a good idea though!
