The weather is looking OK for tomorrow. The plan is to meet at 6pm at the end of St Albans Avenue and ride up to the Leaping Lizard end of Nikau for an hour or so of weeding and trimming around the native trees.

All help is welcome if you want to ride up and find the group. Tools, gloves and some food and drink are provided. It might pay to bring your lights for the ride back down.

Thanks to Simon, Catherine, Andrew, John and Caitlen for coming along to open up 'light wells' for the miro, totara, rimu and other native saplings that were planted a few years ago. Hopefully with a little more light they will accelerate upwards. Same time and place next week - please see the Makara Peak website and facebook page for details.
