Should have also said something about how the new motorway would somehow reduce accidents caused by female Asian drivers. I'd have really LOL'd then.

So much for all that shit National were saying about having a chance at winning that seat; the Labour dude must be MILES ahead now... and he hasn't even had to do anything :)

Weather bomb in an eggcup.

Has anyone actually dug up any stats on rates of crime by population, of people residing in different areas? If you took out the bit about not getting off at the offramp, her statement is probably correct.

without having to do research - can you name the Labour Candidate?

It was always going to be a labour won byelection. labour will win not because they have the best candidate (because, lets get real here, how many politicians are really there for their constituants) - but because its a safe labour seat, and people like to feel like they are backing a winner.

Nope. All I know about him is that he's a dude and that he used to work for the UN in some nasty warzone... That, and I also know that he'll be beating the pants off of the National lady.

Having grown up in manurewa, possibly it is just a case of truth hurts .... lol ....

Police made some comment the other day how there was no statistics to back up the theory, but you would think there analyists could produce them quite easily really or do they not know where arrestees/offenders live???. But then they also didn't say statistics disproved the theory either !!!

:paranoid: Flame away but I work in many schools within Auckland
Mainly I work in schools in; West, Central and a lot in SA (South Auckland - for those who need some geographical help!).
There are great kids/yoof in all areas but I know that schools in SA (see above) have many more behavioural problems generally than do schools in central, NS or even here in the West.
The teens / adults in the communities are to a large degree just bigger versions.
