Drink driving in the states is pretty common. They can't random breath test you at the side of the road. Even then the only test is a walk on the line and saying the alphabet backwards. So unless you have done something and be visibly drunk that they can arrest you for to take a blood test.
He could have stuck with the Texan driving in the snow. But honestly isn't his strong point
