What type of riding are you doing? How much are you looking to spend?

Hmm... I think you should get a 4x bike if your mostly dirt jumping but sometimes trail riding...
You can look at a:

Transition Bank
Gt Labomba
Santa Cruz Jackal
Commencal Absolut AL
I can provide more examples if you want

Thanks man I might buy the second hand Transition vagrant im looking at then. Yer those labombas look nice, would the GT Ruckus DX, 2010 be a good upgrade? and would a medium frame be big enough for 6ft rider? thanks

Are you talking about the Green Vagrant on Trademe? It's a good bike.

The GT Ruckus DX would be good as well. I'm 6ft too, I'd say to go for a medium if you get one.

I'd look at something steel and single speed then:
any of the DMRs,
NS Traffic/Suburban/Majesty
Spank TweetTweet
BlackMarket Mob/Riot

Steel is more forgiving on hard landings etc, just as light, can be repaired, and just because someone else will say it - steel is real

However in saying that my old STP 0 (alu) was a mint frame for DJ, would have got another if they brought them into NZ last year

I cancelled buying the vagrant and ended up getting a new santa cruz jackel frame and buliding up a bike. Just finished building today and went for the first ride down the skate park and it was awesome, so glad I built it!
