Tour of Utah is going pretty well for the Kiwis too... George Bennett fourth on stage 5 and moves up to 4th overall on GC and Mike Torckler has a pretty good hold on the KOM jersey with one stage to go. That's pretty awesome for him especially looking back to where he was 12 months ago!!

Superb win by Linda! Her second Route de France, but her first as a Kiwi...also I think the first major European Tour win by a Kiwi woman?

Must have been the best weekend ever for NZ pro riders?

Linda wins Route de France, Anton Copper wins U23 world cup, George Gennett 4th on GC and Michael Torkler wins KOM in Tour of Utah

Yeah great weekend for sure!!

Shame George Bennett couldn't build on his 4th placing. He slipped to 10th on GC trying to protect Horner's yellow jersey. But great performance from Torckler. He rode pretty aggressively everyday to keep hold of the KOM!

No idea of what the last 3 stages look like (ie - hills or not) but he got in the break today and gained another 35s so is over a minute up on GC now! He surely has to be a good shot at taking out the overall now...???!!!

Charging!

Not quite road cycling, but chapeau to the NZ team competing at the World Junior Track Champs in Glasgow - Punched above their weight. The Silver in the Madison was not just great, but fought all the way to the line.

Nice one!

Also very cool to see ex-Vorber Sam Horgan finish the Tour of the Great South Coast in the Yellow Jersey. Awesome stuff, Sam.
