The three were part of a six-strong New Zealand contingent at the champs in Ostroda, Poland.

Marquita Gelderman qualified second in her heat for Friday's long distance final, while Chris Forne came third in his heat and Georgia Whitla managed seventh in the junior women's qualifier.

Isn't Chris Forne the current world orienteering champ (classic on foot style rather than mountain bike)??
