Looks like Simon, Tim Mulliner, Sifter and Thomas have formed a bunch and hopefully working together. They seem to be doing around 30 kph :o

Something must have happened to his SPOT as he has been shown stuck in one location all day.

Mark Rayward's is pretty much the same. Flat batteries or forgot to reset after the 24 hour roll-over.

I've talked to the boss and am preparing to head out and welcome them off the wharfedale tomorrow - though at the pace the leaders are going it will be early tomorrow that they rip through there - anyone in/around Chch want a ride to back of beyond spectating ? About 90 min drive to get out there I reckon - could ride up the track a bit to kill time between riders. Hope to photograph and get some equipment / diet / strategy info from the crazies inspired pedaling peeples.

I was hoping to get out there as well so I could yell at Oli, but my boss is making me attend a meeting tomorrow.

We were just saying before how cool it would be to be out in the middle of nowhere out the back of McDonald Downs tomorrow to cheer on the lads up the hill. But alas, work calls :(

I'll just tell them that half of Chch says hello, that should cover it. I've never ridden up the other side of Wharfedale before so will be an adventure for me 2 :)
