Hi everyone, I just moved to Auckland from Sweden and I can't wait to get out to take a ride in this beautiful country!
But!, my precisous bike had to stay back home in Sweden due to expensive shipping ,so, where can I find new or second hand bicycles? is there a site on the web where I can have a look,or is there any good bike shops in/around town? I'm only staying for 4 months (studying at UnitTec University in Auckland, one semester) . so I hope to find a bike (and an apartment) asap

btw, how is it with tracks around Auckland? hard tail or full susp?

Get in touch with Adventure cycles - they have a buy back option on bikes, and sell second hand bikes too.
And make sure you come ride Rotorua too
You can get away with a hardtail in auckland, but it's all about enjoying the ride and not getting boneshaken.

well, not sprinkled perhaps- but Iv'e got hopes disc breaks and they works just fine

okay. there has been a change of plans. We decided to skip school and travel insted. we are in Rotoura just now, and it looks beautiful! (a bit smelly, but ok ) after a quick tour in the redwoods where I met a few bikers my desire grow.. I have to rent a bike tomorrow, but where? any suggestions?

2 choices, planet bike , who are in the car park, or bike vegas, who are on the main street (fenton street)

Also Kiwi bikes rent out bikes as well as far as I know.
Wish I could make it over this weekend from Tauranga, I'd offer to show you around some trails

Bryce at Cyclezone is another option for bike hire.

jeah, I tried to create an accont there, but u need an adress. and due to the fact that we are backpacking for the moment, makes it kind of hard to get a permanent adress. is there somewhere else that I could try?
