Probably based on one, but I think those Gymkhana cars of his have always been a bit special, power way above standard WRC cars etc

2011 WRC regs say the cars will still be turbo, but limited to 1600cc.

Really?

He has done little more than a couple of gravel rallys previously, and steps straight in to a WRC car to compete at the highest level in the world. Consistently puts in performances that net him top 10 positions, and then crashes out quite a bit. Surely the crashing will become less, and the speed will get better. Did you expect him to be threatening to win the World Championship in his rookie year?
