There is a perception that because sprinters don't ride 9 hours a day that they are lazy trainers.

For you southern riders, flex excleded, manukau beach, is the manukau velodrome, where sprinters are seen on regular spew sessions, and lounging in recovery positions :alien:

Justin and Damien of GIS have had for years, a passion for their young and not so young sprinters (sorry hobby), The Team have trained tirelessly together, supporting each other when the national body has looked the other way. Maybe, JUST maybe a door might just be openned for our SPRINTERS to be allowed to really show their stuff, Natasha included, There are plenty of sprinters in this country, and some who are now in belgium(because of policy), who can really do this country proud. :D

I'm interested in this comment. Please explain?? Obviously not sunbathing!!

we nicknamed the velodrome manuakau beach as its where the trackies spend their whole summer while everyone is off partying at the beach.

just a thought, apparantly the orignal plans for the manukau beach for 1990 games was in fact a covered velodrome, but kiwi's being kiwis it was built at a cheaper option ( where have we seen this before) just think where nz track would have been today with 19 years of covered track access! considering the leaps we have made in the 4 years of the ILT access!!!! oh how short sighted we can be.
