Re: Inspiring Riding: Bicycle Powered Adventures

No journal post this time. Something very exciting.
I've just sent this out to my email list, and posted to our Facebook site.
Your support would be greatly appreciated...

Friends, family, acquaintances.

Myself, Beth and our good friend Mike Wilson are Inspiring Riding Ltd.

Our aim is to:
inspire and enable cyclists and would-be bicycle riders to experience bicycle adventure.

Journey is our new quarterly journal.
It is the inspiration for bicycle adventures of all kinds.
Issue #1 is published in February 2013, with the theme 'adventure starts here'.
It has contributions from talented writers, photographers and illustrators from New Zealand and Australia.
It is beautifully printed on lovely paper, with no adverts breaking the editorial flow.
It is the first part of realising the aim of Inspiring Riding.

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE JOURNEY HAPPEN
We are asking you to pre-purchase Journey #1 or a subscription for the first four issues.
We are offering some unique rewards (musettes, photo/illustration prints etc.) to thank anyone who supports us.

PLEASE CLICK THROUGH TO OUR PROJECT HERE: http://WWW.POZIBLE.COM/JOURNEY
where you will find everything you need to convince you to support us.
And you get to see our on-screen discomfort in our promo video.

Here's how it works:
We set a $$ target and deadline. The $$ target is what we need to get Journey #1 printed, bound and distributed.
If we reach the $$ target by the deadline, we get the money. If we don't, we get nothing.
So if you support the project, you only pay up if the target is reached and the project has the funds to go ahead.
All payments are handled by Paypal, so although our target is in NZ$, you can pledge your support in any currency. Except jelly beans. Or buttons.

WHETHER YOU SUPPORT US DIRECTLY OR NOT, PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE. WE'D REALLY APPRECIATE IT.
This whole thing isn't just about funding - it is about getting more people to discover the joy of bicycle adventures. That's our motivation.
And if you really aren't interested at all, just delete the email, stick your fingers in your ears and sing 'la la la la'. We won't think any worse of you. Honest.

We are so grateful for your support. Without you, Journey is nothing. Really it is nothing. It is all about bicycle adventurers and would-be bicycle adventurers - all about people like you.

KEEP WATCHING http://WWW.FACEBOOK.COM/INSPIRINGRIDING OR http://WWW.TWITTER.COM/INSPIRINGRIDING FOR UPDATES

And check out our website here: http://www.inspiring-riding.com
where you'll find lots of words and pictures about bicycle adventures. This will be getting a huge makeover to co-incide with Journey #1.

Happy riding, and thanks once again,
Paul, Beth and Mike

I've settled on a plan for my Longest Day ride.
I'll be riding around Wellington, visiting an A-to-Z of places.

I need your help to plan the day - to choose the locations I visit.
And you'll help get Journey off the ground too.
Not to mention support Arthritis NZ.
It's a win win win.

My journal post about it is here:

and more on Facebook

cheers,
Paul

Oh, good
Looks like I'll be turning 30 on the trails of Rotorua
Were Southstar coming to the party with some kind of discount?
I should start a fundraiser page
