I bought in a softtop for my s2000 awhile ago just paid gst on it.Standard top here was $2500 canvas top from US with a glass rear window was about $1000 can't remember anything differant customs wise from any expensive bike bits i've got in.

I brought in a frame for my motorbike last year (almost impossible to find here). There was no duty on that.
Parts prices for the run of the mill cars we have here are pretty cheap – even compared with buying them offshore.

Hey Spokes try your local Auto Electrician i work for a Auto Electrical Wholesaler and supply all the Auto Electricians around NZ and our RRP arent to badly priced and also alot of our stuff is Genuine and alot cheaper than the dealers.

Im in Christchurch so dont really know our customers in Auckland but 99% of Auto Electricians deal with us so wont be hard to find some up there
