How Do You Delete Everything Off A Mac That Doesn't Work?

Well, I just found a power mac G4 in the garage , so I decided I might try sell it, but when I went to turn it on, it just stays on the loading page, and wont do anything else, does anybody know how you can delete all the (or at least the majority) of the users files?
Any help would be great.

Instead of trying to sell someone else's lost property why not hand it in to the Police and be an honest guy? If no one claims it you will get it back in three months, and if someone does claim it you've probably helped someone a great deal...

I forgot to say, It's my brothers, it has been in the garage and I just recently found it again, the proof being that it has all of my documents on it, thats why I want to delete everything off it.

Pull out hdd.
Stick ~~in wang~~hdd in another computer.
MY COMPUTER - > right click FORMAT

This assume it isn't the hdd that's fubar.

Do Macs even have hard disk drives? I always imagined they had mini Steve Jobs clone-elves running around inside those futuristic white boxes. Maybe you need to feed them some more iFood or whatever it is they run on...
