That is sort of my point. It is yet another faked danger experience to get the tourist dollars - just like rollercoasters etc. You sell the perceived danger, but in most regards the clients might as well be wrapped in cotton wool, sitting inside looking at pictures. There will be huge hand rails, and probably an enclosure over the top to prevent anything vaguely looking like a liability lawsuit.

That part of the world is insanely beautiful. All the carefully colour graded larged framed prints of Arches National Park or the Grand Canyon that you see in every shopping mall around the world are indeed easy on the eye, but the real thing is so much more majestic. And the tourism answer is build an eye sore of a center with big ole buses parked out the front and walkway over the canyon. :(
