I just watched the news and saw Jo Lawn wearing some hideous pants with claims that these will disperse lactate..and then she said that they are similar to compression pants. How gullible are we these days??
These companies pay high profile athletes to wear certain garments..and then the flock of sheep follow....and because some says it will do this or that...and the pacebo effect takes effect..and voila...we have super human athletes!! what a load of fuckin toss!!
If you want to monitor your residual lactate levels..get a portable lactate tester. Today I caught up with Gina Ferguson out riding..and we talked about tapering..and she told me about her intervals.. suffice to say..at that intensity you would produce shit all lactate....
I have heard it all.. compression pants...intermittent hypoxication... supplents....special diets and recovery drinks...for christs sake wake up and smell the roses...read some studies...and see how much of this bollocks is true...and how much is just marketing...
If you wanna pay a fistful of $$ on crap..go for it..otherwise train better....
