Oh, and talking car control, how about this fella?

Rémy Julienne

I don't think many would rival this fella? Though, he did crash a helluva lot!

I agree if only Renault v Ferrari was like that now.

This comment should possibly be in the F! Thread:-
The passing moves of Schui and Alonso in Hungry through the pack were pretty risky.

Lets take a look at some of Bruce's achievements in his short racing career...

- Youngest winner of a grand prix (unless Alonso holds that now) but i think Bruce is still youngest
- Finished 2nd in world drivers championship behind Jack Brabbham
- Won the 1966 Lemans 24Hr race in GT40 (which he had a huge influence in designing)
- Won the Sebring 12 hr race
- 5 CanAm championships with Denny Hulme
- Built CanAm cars, built F1 cars, and built Indy cars

All in a space of 12 years, sounds pretty damn impressive. Eat your heart out any other race car drivers....

He never won a F1 World Championship, He didnt win the CanAm series( Denny did).
He won Le Man 24hR because Ford fucked up and had a photo finish which didnt work in those days because of the way they started.

But yes your right he designed nd built awsome cars, he was a talented driver but he was far from the best.

Try Juan Manuel Fangio, 5 World Titles, Michael Schumacher, 7 World Titles! Tom Kristensen 6 24hr Le Man wins.

And ar you sure he won the Sebring 12hr? He won his first GP at Sebring (And that was only becasue Jack Brabham ran outa fule 400m from the finish, i think thats what you are talking about, i dont think he ever won the 12hr race

Niki Lauda drove the Ferrari 312T's until his fire in which he was almost killed....

I got the info off the official Bruce McLaren site about his achievements so he will have won the 12 hr Sebring race.

The 5 CanAm championships was Denny driving although as the "team's father" its an achievement for Bruce...

Lemans victory, despite the other cars f*****g out, a victory is a victory, regardless, doesnt matter whether its by a second or a whole lap. its a victory.
