I passed Steven Franks on the trails up Mt Vic the other week - Seemed like a pretty good bloke and is supposed to be pretty onto it so I hear.

Is always good to see Trev Mallard out at Poti also giving it a nudge.

I'm looking forward to it all being over but I reckon it could be one of those results that is close enough that it takes forever to form a government.
The country needs that instability like we need a bottle up the arse imho

Nandor and CAN have a few things in common.

WHAT IS CAN'S STANCE ON THE WEARING OF CYCLE HELMETS?

;)

That's one guy's stance you're not so obliquely referring to, Scotty. It's a bit like saying all R&R guys are solidly built ex-teachers because one certain one is. ;)

Nope, the reason I ask is because I've come across more than a couple of them that have similar stances?

So yeah, was actually looking for some genuine clarification. :)

(besides, Patrick knows how I feel about people who don't waer helmets. Words about darwin's theory flew past my lips when I first met him in the shop, and before I realised who I was talking to. :paranoid: )

Regardless, I'd be very surprised if non-helmet law compliance was actual CAN policy bro...perhaps a CANister will come along and tell us fo sho.

You never know, with people talking such nonsense about it being a deterrent for people cycle commuting and whatnot it wouldn't be that surprising. :eh:

Or talking about "relaxing" the rules for that matter...

Would be nice to hear what they've got to say about it though. :)

CAN's policy is that they would like the helmet law reviewed to see if it is working as well as intended. If it is - fine (end of debate). If it isn't, why not, and what could be done to improve the situation?

CAN is actually quite divided over the helmet issue. And, overall, they don't see it as a high priority.

Personally, I'm a big helmet fan, but I'd be interested to see the results of a review.

There seems to be a lot of threads on politics and cycling. Do people really care and take into account cycling when making their vote?

You are stupid.
That is all.

I actually thought it was a pretty accurate and clever peice of satire. Mr Serious.

Certainly a lot funnier than PMing the population of Vorb pics of bottles up their bottoms. ;)

That may be true, but not as funny as PMing a select group of individuals from the population of Vorb with a disguised link to the website 'Bottleguy.' Politics does not equal funny.
