Bicycle thief is very good, as is Indochine. Volcano in Lyttleton is well worth a look for moderately priced and hearty. Saggio Di Vino does great food and has an excellent wine selection but is expensive.

Found two fat indians to be nice, and copper chime was ok - wouldnt write to calcutta about it but then im not a huge indian fan - found little india to be more my cup of dilmah

Ive always enjoyed the dux the few times Ive been down there. Its not a bad place to have a drink on a sunny day.
