I'm broken. But on a day like today, "shuttles" up the Peak would be a dream come true. Hope y'all had a blast!

Ended up riding Sally Alley -> Snake Charmer -> Ridgeline Ext. with the wife quickly after work.

While on snake charmer, was just telling her "keep left, incase the shuttle...." bam.. up comes the shuttle.

Yeah I headed up for a quick loop along St Albans/SA/ML/Aratihi/Zacs/Varleys after work :) Didn't see the shuttle or any rascally DHers :p

A huge thanks to Don who not only devised the idea, but drove up and down (donating his time) with barely a break for 4 hours!

and also a big hand to Mud's Cycles for donating the use of the Van and trailer (also at no charge) for the afternoon.

I think 20-25 riders had a great time, with something like 14 runs being completed in total.

Without the generosity of Muds and Don, this afternoon simply would not have happened.

And I guess almost $200 goes to the Makara Peak Supporters Inc to help maintain and develop the Park :)

Lots of smiles all around with only the odd grazed knee and mechanical :) :)

Thanks very much to the organisers and driver/s! I had a fantastic time and it was an excellent turn out. $10 was rediculously cheap so I gave a wee bit more and I think a lot of other people did too
Fingers crossed we can do this again very soon!

I would love to have a bit more notice when this was going to happen again, definitely take some time off work to do it and I'd donate a lot more than the $10.

Please keep us posted.

Reaper, do you have a sundae with pink forks? I'm pretty sure I saw you heading up Karori road just before dark.

Sounds like a great day out. I'd like to be able to attend the next one (If there is a next one). :)

Yes, that's me. New ride for me, used to have a burly D8 about 2 weeks ago.
Where were you?
