Hi fullsusRULES

You may want to check out the whangarei news section, as this will explain a few things that are happening with the trails and the club.

it seems that we are in for some big changes now, how it pans out is going to be interesting but when you have at least half a dozen guys dedicated to promoting and building DH tracks...it now seems very logical to work within a new council structure so that we are jointly promoting all forms of mountain biking. i have a single speed, XC, and DH bike and i enjoy all these types of MTB.

The council always (hopefully) looks at all the stakeholders in making decisions, so hopefully we can all work together towards a multi purpose MTB park...i.e. like Woodhill MTB Park...it it will be free.

Yeah pete , went up today, they have started the car park, it hasn't encroached on our track and they only need to rip up a short section of ressurection to lay a drain down, otherwise it looks good

Build this Sunday 8am (rain or shine parapie Big Grin ) going to work on the lower section of ressurection to smooth it out, shovels barrows and spades, plus we may have to just tidy up the drain area that the digger has made where it crosses our track.

I'm Cool

Good build today Josh and i got the final berm tidied up cleared out the drain and built a temp bridge at the exit of the berm. Got the old bridge lowered and tidied up and built up the berm after it got rid of the wet patches. Tideied up the kicker of the last table too, looking good, now just need a week of the fine weathers and give it a ride.

PS Carpark is looking good, pretty big. Good work PMC

Had a good build today sam and i built the track between the berms up, once that drys and hardens off it should be mint. Have sorted the reconstruction of the berm previous and the table will get onto this next weekend.

All this work should hopefully make the bottom track of ressurection/taniwha a whole lot faster and smooth for the final table and berm combination

Just a note to ressurection riders the section after the table top that was worked on the weekend is still ( after the last bit of fine weather) pretty slushy so i have laid a couple of logs across the berm to direct rioders off the slush. We are gonig to need to add drainage (this weeekends build) and probably add a bridge, so if your riding down there just be carefull flying over the table please
Cheers Double Thumbs Up

Good build on sunday, just went up today to check how the drainage is working and the packing after the berm is already packing down and hardening up, also found the joining up line for the end of R2 onto Ressurection/Taniwha, hopefully be bout 2.5 to 3 meter gap with a switchback in the middle.

Then got some sessioning in on the track, feels mint Double Thumbs Up get the slasher up there next weekend and clear some more gorse away fron the sides and really open it up, drains are all working swweet too Smile
