Well there's R&R sport, cycle surgery (both on cnr of lower stuart street and cumberland st) browns (Crawford st) and a new place shoosh which is just a couple of doors down cumby from cycle surgery. Take your pick, I'm sure they could all do that.
As for suspension bearings though it might pay to go to the store that sells your brand of bike, and probably investigate getting the bearings from a bearing supplier. I replaced a wheel bearing on my car a while ago and it was much cheaper to get the generic version than the proper toyota part.

I have been to both cycle surgery and more recently shoosh since i have down here. They are both good. Sarg in at Shoosh is a good man, good for a few laughs. He was meant to replace my mates bearings not long ago, was really good about it and not badly priced i think.

Aaron at R&R Sport was chosen to be one of the mechanics at the Worlds in Rotorua so he knows his stuff too

Jeremy at r&r is a bloody good mechanic that wont stuff it up. He always did mine when he was a cycle surgery and I never had a problem. Hes good at sourcing stuff as well, I've had him find me stuff over night that another mechanic told me you can't get!

As long as grumpy mark is no longer at R&R you can't go wrong.
But I'm biased.
Shoosh is good too.

, for DIY, got new bearings for my ride even thou they were all special sizes. Price was good too.
Just Moved here too, but for LBS maybe R&R? Got "free" sample of Fox Fluid from them (still need to go back there with some cookies ). Nice looking workshop...

Well, it's not like he's secretve about it or anything...
However, if you want your forks done quickly before nationals a quick trip to paasha will see you right.
We ate well the last time nats was in Dunners, I think we didn't need to buy lunch or beer for a week!
I miss working with Juan.
