 |
|
Calendar Event: July 12, 2008 ***we could ride Sunday if it suits people better, just shout out ***
Meeting Time: Leave my place for 8ish (or earlier if we want a full day of singletrack goodness!)
Meeting Place: My house in Christchurch where we can car shuffle etc. Or we can just meet people there/ on route. I will PM my address closer to the ride.
Description: After the roaring success of the last group rides to Wharfedale and Cragieburn- we discussed a day on the Hamner single track- so here it is.
Bring a working bike, some food, cold / wet weather gear and a few quid for food afterwards and to chip in for fuel (if you get a lift).
This ride is once again weather dependent so it may get pushed forward to the following weekend.... or the weekend after that.. etc.
Offers to carry some riders and their bikes are welcomed and will be rewarded with riches beyond the imagination of mere mortals

I am going to be away for the week... getting back friday evening, so would probably give the saturday of riding in Hanmer a miss... however would be keen to do it as a trip, staying overnight up there at some stage... ride, food, beer, hot pools, food, beer, sleep, food, ride etc

That's cool Reality is that the following weekend may be better weather wise anyhoo. So if that weekend suits better I'll just put the date forward as I'm very flexible
On the note of staying down there- JP was making noises about this so maybe PM him for details. Infact it may well be the following weekend he is thinking of heading down.. i'm not to sure.
Either way- I'll only be going down for one day of riding so the meet in Christchurch and head down is still a goer for other riders..... on what ever day we work out.
Let me know

Don't think I'll make it either, I'm rostered on dayshift. An overnight trip would be a great idea.....ride, food, beer, hot pools, sleep, food, ride etc etc has a great deal of merit!

Went up there today. Tracks were wet but still good fun. Rained a bit but it wasn't cold so all in all a good days riding.
