Yep. If you want to take a vehicle into long gully, you need to have the vehicle authorised.

In addition, the vehicle has to be 4WD, and riders must be members of the wellington MTB club. Finally, if you're shuttling in the gully, every rider must pay $5 at the honesty box at the top of the tracks.

If you want to get a vehicle pass, let me know and I'll send you the application form. They're available either as "year round" passes for people that regularly dig and ride up in the gully, or as "fixed date" passes for a weekend.

its a pass to say your car is allowed to drive on the private roads at long gully. You need authorisation on non-dig days for your car to be there.
