Calendar Event: April 19, 2008
Attendees: Definite(1) - Total: 1 - Expected: 1 - View

1st round of the Christchurch Dual slalom series is on this weekend, April 19 from 12pm.

Course is on the airstrip at the top of Victoria park.

It's super low key so no entry fee, practice will run for an hour or so then elimination will begin with a random draw and we'll try to make sure all the people knocked out in the first round get a second chance.

Come along to watch or have a go at one of the most exciting disciplines of mountain bike racing!!

* Race is postponed for today, next one is scheduled for 2 weeks time, check the website for dates os the rest of the races*

Johnny said to me in the weekend that it would be a track taped out down the grass section on the left of the airstrip.

Sorry the "airstrip" Is that Wide Open grassy area you cross when going from the top carpark to gum trees. Not something you usually land planes on, although I've seen a chopper or two on it

That could be fun as for a finish jump. But would need to find a place to put it with a transition to land on.
