Some people who didn’t appreciate all of the effort and expense I went to in putting the event on were the people who stole three ramps on Saturday night!!! The bumps, which were made a two units, and the launching ramp for the final drop were taken at some time in the early hours of Sunday morning. I am pretty keen on a witch-hunt!!! The cost of making those ramps was over $1,000, and we had thought they would be safe in front on the University security office overnight but alas they were not.

Can you spread the word that we will not get police involved if someone contacts me (07 838 4344) to arrange for the return? Also if anyone hear’s something about the ramps (which have the full name of T7 spray painted on them) they can let me know anonymously ( mingle[at]waikato.ac.nz ). These thieving losers need to be caught!!

Hope someone can help.

Mark

probably $200 in parts, $800 in labour easy at commercial rates.
most of that in the bumps they look nicely made.

but your probably right about the firewood, I then to think of all wood stacked up outside ( eg pallets) as free to a good home. Not that it was ok to steal the ramps I wouldn’t steal from under a tarp though.

I was being serious about being taken for firewood. You should see what goes from our skip out the back of the shop. I have chucked out bikes boxes into our recycle bin and 10mins later theres a car there taking it!! I doubt it was a rider as they dont look to be desirable ramps.

Cant see $800 labour but then Im tight and would do it myself.
