The real press release from Cameron Cole's management:

Cameron Cole's 2007 international season looks like it has come to an end unless some kind of healing miracle occurs between now and the Fort William World Championships at the beginning of September. Cole crashed in practice at the Deer Valley, Park City Norba and dislocated 3 bones in his left wrist breaking two of them, tearing the ligaments and tendons and chipping the end off his Ulna also. Cole said "3 pins and some wires later Im back and up but not running". He had surgery last Wednesday and is now in cast until the 15th of August. This means only two weeks until the Scotland World Champs event after the cast is removed and not enough time to get weak wrist back to strength to compete on such a physical track. Cole will be able to do other types of less strenuous training until he can ride properly again hopefully in October. Cole mentioned the next events he will be competing in while back home for the NZ summer. "Ill be at the up coming 07/08 National series for sure which I'm really looking forward to, just trying to get my form back for next years international season. I'm also looking forward to another Kiwi summer". Cole hopes to compete in more World Cups next year but if he signs with Team Maxxis again for 2008 he will be committed to the US Norba series first and foremost.

Cam wants to give a huge thanks to all his 2007 sponsors Maxxis, Quiet Chaos, and Utopia Optics for their continued support while injured.
