Thought I'd start a new thread where people can spill the beans on their last ride.
I'll start....I rode to the end of the road and back. Headwind out was horrrendous but managed to average 50kph all the way home. Total distance 100...aaahhh...metres

Quiet day, thrashed the Soulcraft around town a bit and just enjoyed the odd moment of sun. Going for a ride with the mighty T-Rex tomorrow though, hopefully on his new Ibis.

It was rather windy, westerley I think which is unusual I headed to Sumner after work with a work mate and we didn't notice the tail wind we appeared to have. Just commented on how little wind there was today.
Until we got to Sumner and I started my hard strength intervals only to find we had a horrible head wind home!
Anyone that rode or drove past me probably thought I was a bit weird I had to bring my bike to a standstill adn tehn take off in a rather bigish gear!

we stupidly went for a cruisy ride out to taitapu and back - just as the wind went to full on easterly. Meant 40km/h with no effort out - and then a total grovel back.
Of course once we'd got home the wind dropped an hour later

Dude I dont know what party of the country you live in but in Wellington along Shelly bay it was easily some of the strongest winds I have ever tried to ride in (not counting the mental stuff you get up Kaukau)

I hear ya - I just about got blown off my bike twice on the way home from work last night, so I broke out the wind trainer when I got home and sat on that for another hour.
Having to use an indoor trainer in Summer...what's that about!!?
I'm totally fed up with this ferking Wellly wind!!!

I rode this today on my commuter bike as I was a silly boy trying to fix my moutainbike yesterday and broke it so much it has to go to the LBS for surgery
I keep getting these urges to get a real road bike and it scares me
