im upgrading discs from hayes to something a bit better, i was thinking xsiv, hope, or yd open, i only need one for the fron ...

sum ideas, ive heard some bad stories about yd opens......
the hayes i have arent the mag ones

i would reconmend hope but, they are really expensive, ive heard like $700 per end i think? they are awesome but for that price.....
also it will be on a hardtail wont it? well im riding my xsivs on the hardtail at the moment its mean, they work so well with it

ahh, im only looking for one for the front, but possibly 2, i want sum magura hs33's for the rear, but i dont have the right rim, might look into it, what are grimeca like?

grimeca make xsivs tho xsivs have a couple of small deiferences like the lever, i personally dont really like the little plastic thing that sits on top of the grimeca resivoir

hehe, i think ive alreayd bought another fr disc! an xsiv, 4 piston one, should be mint, it comes with a 6 inch rotor tho, can i use my hayes rotor on it or what?

6 inch would be fine for a hardtail dude, 8inch is just an urban legend Paranoid Oooooooh

yea i guess its personal preference, personally i would rather run 6 inch rotors on a hardtail, mainly cause they are lighter and smaller

yea thats why ive got a hs33 on the fron that i bought of tama, come to think of it, it could actually be a hs22?

meh it works well and doesnt weigh down the front

XSIV's rock, the red DBH12's are the same as Grimeca Sys12's, however we seem to have them with the Sys8 lever over here.

The screw top reservoir makes it a little hard to bleed and the standard screws strip really easily, replaced mine last night with some new pozi-drive ones, poxy cheap phillips head screws that you have to drill out cause someones over tightened them Angry

I didn't have a choice of 8" on the front, was born that way Big Grin brakes came with 2x 8" rotors and I was too cheap to buy smaller and theres nothing wrong with having huge brakes Wink
