Hey Yall,
Me and the boys are planning a trip to wanaka and Queenstown for some downhill action 20-23rd december and are wondering where the best tracks are, I heard there is a gondala in QT for some Downhill runs? I could be wrong! So tell me where should we go?

ooooooh you could be screwed in wanaka then, most of the trails you have to push up, although it didn't bother me and I'm the sort of rider who normally drives to the top 90% of the time. They are definitely worth the push though, lots of tracks with nice jumps and sweet berms, and some of the stunts are pretty decent.....
Never ridden alex, but Queenstown does have a couple of shuttleable tracks, the one next to Dream track is wicked fun. Mini dream kicks esra as well, but doesn't offer enough in the way of small stuff so unless 20 foot dirt jumps sound like your thing.

Alex is an awesome MTB place. If you'd like i've got a good mate who lives in Alex and i can find out some track info and stuff off him... He does thrashing/ dh type thing
I'd also be interested to know some good places in Wanaka to ride...
I've seen in a previous post on Vorb, that Rata St leads up to a bunch of them? Any other streets/directions we should head when we're down there? We're going to TC, but would also like to check out some other fun flowy DH trails while we're in Wanaka! We don't mind pushing up and sessioning individual trails/sections.
Any other pointers on fun DH locations in Wanaka to check out would be greatly appreciated!
