Calendar Event: November 20, 2005

there was a meeting last night about forming a new Tauranga MTB club and we decided to have a social ride at Summerhill on sunday the 20th at 9.30am with a BBQ and social gathering after.
bring a Gold Coin Donation to ride at Summerhil, a sausage or two for the Barbie and your required refreshments
can get quite windy and chilly up there after a ride so throw your cardie in the car just in case Wink .

will be setting regular ride schedule too. so keep watching for more info

the ride is scheduled to finish at middayish for a meat fest* on the Barbie. dont know how long the lies and ego comparing will go on for afterwards, but i would need to be gone before 3pm

the carpark is about 3kms up Reid Rd, just before the Rd turns to gravel. it's, i think, the last road on the hills side of Welcome Bay Rd. could be easier to come in from the Papamoa/Te Puke end (by the Shell station) if you dont know the Road that well

Yup, dredge up an old thread and see how many bites there are. Looks like there's enough replies to make for a good small starter club anyways.

Slightly OT, but does anyone know anything about the MTB side of TECT park? I know the car club I belong to have a presence on the steering commitee for the park's development, and I believe ther is a place in the park set aside for MTB trails, it'd just be interesting to know if anyone is representing the interests of MTBers.
