sorry about the long wait, but here it is (blame microtihs for the delays)

Saturday 4th April 1pm

Meet @ Vic Uni Quad by the Easterfield Building.

A leisurely ride to Makara Peak to try a few maneuvers today. Big climb to the peak, but awesome fast downhills. Might ride the ‘Leaping Lizard’ and you can test your triple X ability on the skills course.

Monday 7th April 6.30pm

Meet @ Te Papa on the roadside (Cable St). This is a skills ride run by the ‘Vorb’ team. These guys know their MTB, and much can be learnt from their experience. After the ride, have a chomp on a kebab with Team Vorb. For more information on Vorb check out www.vorb.org.nz ,

Wednesday 9th April 5.00pm

Meet @ Vic Uni Quad by the Easterfield Building.

Start with a massive group thrash down the ‘Roller Coaster’ from the Brokland wind turbine. This is a very -fast and exciting ride. We’ l check out the other technical rides up there too, and try the 50km/hr purpose built launch ramp.

Saturday 12th April 1pm

Meet @ Vic Uni Quad by the Easterfield Building.

How bout a ride down to Wellington’s own ‘Thunder Dome’. A ride up the wind turbine track, and up further to the ‘golfball’, and down the run to Red Rocks. A huge climb, but all for an intense 15 minute downhill.

Monday 14th April 6.30pm [b/]

Meet @ Te Papa on roadside (Cable St). Another ride offered by the Vorb kats. Kebabs again, and Team Vorb leading the way. or check www.vorb.org.nz

[b]Wednesday 16th April 5.00pm

Meet @ Vic Uni Quad by the Easterfield Building.

Night street ride. Bring your lights if u have any, so the ‘five o’ can’t hassle us. We’ll find some stair drops, pop some manuals and show off our favourite concrete obatckles and places it’s you get told off riding during the 9-5 day.

Saturday 19th April 1pm

Meet @ Vic Uni Quad by the Easterfield Building.

Up to Wrights Hill Karori, and down a technical river-bed course. Back up to the Wrights hill army barracks and over the scenic route directly to the wind-turbine in Brookland.

Monday 21st April 1pm

Meet @ Te Papa on roadside (Cable St). Vorb crew, www.vorb.org.nz

Wednesday 23rd April 5.00pm

Meet @ Vic Uni Quad by the Easterfield Building.

Mt Victoria….. Steeep drops, fast sections and pine needles. Whatever the weather on the day brings, will decide the tracks . Something for everyone here with numerous options (& growing) on this mountain.

Saturday 26th April 1pm

Meet @ Vic Uni quad by the Easterfield Building.

Check before you wreck your face, cause we’re going to northland today. We’ll check out the rock cave in the middle of the bush 1/2 way to Wadestown. It was apparantly going to be a tunnel to the other side back in the day, but they decided not to build it. Fast up and down tracks here, easy to ride.

Monday 28th April 6.30pm

Meet @ Te Papa on roadside (Cable St). Vorb crew, www.vorb.org.nz

Wedneday 30th April 5pm

Meet @ Vic MtB club shed, down by the rugby field at the end of Waitata road.

Mystery ride—this should be good ^ (may take the club trailer out for this one)

Satuday 3rd May 1pm

Meet @ Vic Uni quad by the Easterfield Building.

Out to the ex bmx track in Wilton/Karori, by the mini ramp. Try a few grudge races, so you competitive guys can deal the business. This is kind of like drag racing and sorts out a few things. This track will be wide enough for two riders to pass at will. Best not blow your own trumpet before this one, as we’ll have the camera out for you ‘showman’ out there.

thanks to Wade for putting this piece of goodness together

and dont forget we have bikes for club members, they are (a bit) dodgy but they are free!!

any questions/comments/rants add them here. ckeck back here for updates on the rides, & the DH/hucking/jumping forum for the vorb rides
or ring me on 021-0309-754

special thanks to Tama for hosting this for us and everything else he does for the mountain bike community!

Just a thought - do you want to make the rides more public - like put'em on Upcoming Events - which then gets printed out and ends up in bike shops?

You could have all manner of wierdos appearing then Satan
