Getting Started - How To Register on Vorb
Registering on Vorb allows you to post information on the forums, add events, post adverts, upload photos, upload video and interact with the site and it's users in a number of ways.
2. Fill in the following fields:
--- Username: How you want to be identified on Vorb.
--- Email: Must be a valid e-mail address.
--- Password: Must be at least 5 characters long.
--- Security Code: This is just a random number to stop automatic spammers.
3. Click New User - if there's any problems with your username or password it'll let you know.
4. Double check your e-mail address and click Finish
5. You will now be sent an activation e-mail to your Inbox.
6. You have 24 hours to check your Inbox and click the activation link.
7. Congratulations, you've just registered on Vorb.

3. Type the name of the event in Subject - you may want to add the location of the event.
4. Click the Calendar Icon next to Single or Start Date and select the date of the event from the pop-up calendar.
5. If the event is over a number of days, or happens on a regular basis tick advanced - this will display more options. Otherwise go to step 8.
6. Click the Calendar Icon next to End Date and Interval if the event runs over multiple days select the end date from the pop-up calendar. If the event happens regularly select the last date it will occur from the pop-up calendar.
7. If the event happens regularly select the regular interval between Clear Date and repeat forever.
8. Type in a description of the event, remember to include enough information for people to know how to enter/ where to go.
9. If you wish to direct users to a website you can simply post the website address and it will automatically turn into a clickable link.
10. If you wish, you can attach enter forms or other useful information using Add Attachment
11. Once you are satisfied with your post you can click Preview to see how it will look, or Submit to post it.
12. If you wish to change the details of you event you can do so by clicking the button at the top right hand corner of your post.

How to Attach Photos:
1. Make a post in a forum by hitting the button.
2. After putting some text in the Message Body thread, scroll down the page to the section where it says "Add an attachment".
3. Hit the "browse" button to locate the picture you want to attach on your computer. Check here to make sure your picture is small enough (see "How to resize photos") and of an acceptable format.
4. After you have found the image you want, hit the "open" button. The location of your picture should now be written in the Filename field.
5. You can add File Comments in the field on the right. After you are happy with your description, hit the "Add Attachment" button.
6. You can add up to five photos to a post. If you wish to add more photos repeat steps 2 to 5.
7. If you want to preview your post and photo before submitting, hit the "preview button", else, just hit the "Submit" button.
8. Voila! You have posted a photo! If you want to delete or change the photo after you have submitted it, you can do so by hitting the button.

3. Type a descriptive heading under the Subject field. Remember to say whether you are buying or selling (e.g., Wanted: single crown forks, or Derrailleurs for sale, etc).
4. Write a description of the items you are selling or wanting to buy in the Message Body field. Included contact details where possible.
5. If you want to attach a photo, use the Add Attachment function - see "How to attach Photos".
6. When you are happy with what you've written, either hit Preview to see what your ad will look like to the public, or hit Submit if you're ready to go.
7. If you want to go back and edit your ad at any time, you can do so by hitting the button at the top right hand corner of your post.

3. Select an Album to place your photo in by clicking on the drag-down menu to the right of the album field. (E.g., Main Galleries - Bike Frottage, Main Galleries - Cross Country & Epic, etc).
4. Find the photo on your computer by hitting the Browse button and searching through your directories. Hit the Open button when you have found the picture you're after.
5. Type a brief description of your photo in the Picture Title field.
6.(optional) If you want, you can type a longer description in the Picture Description field.
7.(optional) Select some keywords (e.g., Karapoti, Nationals, etc) if you want.
8. When you have finished, hit the Upload Picture button.
If you want to upload another picture, go through Steps 1 to 8 again.
5. "New Album" should appear in the field in the centre of the page. If you want to call the album something else, you can rename it by changing it in the field underneath the arrows, "delete" and "new" buttons.
6. If you want to add another album, repeat Steps 4 and 5.
7. You can shuffle the order that your albums appear by highlighting an album and using the 'up' and 'down' arrows to move the order around in the list.
8. When you have finished, hit the Apply modifications button. A popup will come up asking if you are sure you want to apply the modifications. If you are happy with it, click the "OK" button.
9. Click the Continue button. Now you're ready to load photos into your album! There is a link at the top of the page in red saying Upload picture. Else you can click on the Photo Galleries... link under the Navigation menu on the left hand side of the screen, then go to Upload photo. See "How to upload photos to the galleries" for more information.
