at the track here in Tauranga there has been a big increase in thefts from the vehicles in the carpark.
the scum bags hit about three at a time then go away for a couple of hours then come back and do a few more though the day.
anyone going there dont leave anything of value in the car. they do a damn good search through it Hmmmm . or park your car by the fruit shop (not in their carpark) at the bottom of the road and bike up to the track.
the police are very aware of it and any incidents need to be reported to them. also the locals are not amused by their antics and intend to dish out a bit of vigilanty justice on their asses before they are handed over to the authorities Sneaky .

Not cool. How about a "Massive pack of vigilantes hiding in the bushes" raid? - I'd almost be willing to come up just for that.... Eh?

sounds like a vorb "mobbing" might be in order...

I might go shopping for a length of chain and some sporting equipment.

FraserB : post up a date for a "mobbing" and we can see how many vorbers we can get to lurk in the bushes.... I come down that way every few months to ride in the Kaimais Double Thumbs Up

Oropi is wicked! Its a pity its overrun by crims. Quite a few times ive seen dodgy people parked out there - and they definetly dont look like mountain bikers. Their number plates have been taken from what ive heard but I guess they have to be caught in the act or something.[/img]

yeah its becoming a real kcuf off .we were so close to catching the elohesras on sunday night , us being 4 adults and4 young fellas them being 4 maori dudesin their early 20s.i had frightened off 2 on wed night after watching them for half an hour ,i was a bit worried as im only a little bugger was on my own, 2 of them 1 about 120 kgs,and only the gate seperating us.i think i may have ssiped them off because on sunday someone had left the message kcuf u in the gravel in front of my truck. the passenger i spotted that night was the same one i saw in the maxima about three weeks ago when we all got done then.i dont know if he was in the subby on sunday i only noticed the kcirps running back to their car out the corner of my eye as i was totally concentrated on getting the rego.had a snoop around the area yesterday and actually spotted the subby by glen lyons avedriving towards oropi .gave chase in the truck (gutless wonder) but they had long gone by the time i had turned around and my bloody shoe phone was flat ,irony was they drove past 2 cop cars at the big park in that area.went up to oropi 2night with a fully charged phone and took my gtir ,theyre not getting away from that in a hurry.nothing happened. about the subby rego xs1524 the police tracked it to a te puke addy but the person said he sold it 4 to 6 weeks ago and the police now dont know who owns it . gut feeling tells me its coming out of windermere.
for vehicle safety try joyce road .john ,kent and co have been improving the switchbacksand have some wicked plans for that area in the future.
just remember to report anything suspicious at all and any vehicle tampering however minor ,squeaky wheel gets the oil.
