are the jumps round in porirua still real big and styley like the 1 behind muds cos me my bro and his friend might be going round there this weekend but its been ages since ive been there and its ages away to go if its all parc now Crazy my dad got a real hardcore tiny vidio camara for his birthday so we would nick off wif it adn i would get them wasting themselves lots on that huge gap jump Sly

1. If you get any awesome crashes send 'em to tama[at]vorb.org.nz and I'll add them to muntage

2. I think the jumps on Baxter's Knob (tee hee hee) have been a bit rain damaged/ weather beaten/ cow trampled/ etc. and may need some good lovin' to get funky again.

3. Reliable sources inform me that the Melling Jumps are being restored to their former glory - and beyond. Definitely worth a check. They're between the Hutt River, and the stop bank on the city side, near Melling.

yea i do other stuff like firebrakes, makara, mount vic you know....... i just want to get betta at jumping cos im quite parc at the moment Blush

we went to the melling jumps today but my bike was still in the shops so i wasnt riding (i was the camara man) my bro just clipped the lip of the jump with his rear wheel and cracked his leg armour on the stem...would that fibre glass stuff that you can use for fixing surfboards be good for fixing leg armour aswell??

Scarlet - Depends what it's made of. Fibreglass needs a resiny thing which can kcuf royally with plastic... So might not work too well...

Get some high strength (48hr) epoxy glue which says you can use it on plastics, and glue it back together.

did u hit the big rhythm? coz today they looked really wasted and all lumpy, but the jump over the fallen tree was pretty good apart from the fact that its a big dust pit Double Thumbs Up

i know this is an old post and i should probably leave it to die, but to these "melling jumps" you speak of still exist?

i live out in the hutt and could easily ride down to melling so jumps down there would be quiet appealing...

if they are there but in bad condition i would be more than willing to do a little work on them!
