A question about the above for personal messages

what are the difference?

Do messages that you send 1st go into the Outbox and then when they are opened they appear in the Sentbox? and if they are never opened they stay in the Outbox?

or do they go into the Outbox if there is a problem with sending the message so you have to send it again?

or...?

The outbox is for unsent messages. (ie, you write a whole lot of messages, then do a batch send, to minimise the amount of time you spend on the net) And, for messages in the process of being sent.

The sent box, is for messages that have been successfullly sent.Smile

he is correct.

Also, if YOU delete a message from your outbox, the person you sent it to will get an e-mail telling them they have a PM but there won't be one there waiting for them.

And that's just like teasing. so don't do it.

Well, that's for email programs.

More clearly, it appears a PM is not counted as "sent" until it is read.
