Looks like all my riding buddies have chickened out again and are not going to go down for the race again this year.
Is anyone from Auckland going down and interested in car pooling or some such thing ? I am happy to drive or help with costs if someone else is driving ?
I know its a couple of months away but I am trying to plan some leave from work and accomodation as well.

The Akatarawa's, just north of the Hutt. Epic XC race 50 odd km's of filth, rocks and fun. Everyone should race it at least once xc'ers, downhillers, or whatever. Slackboys has raced it wearing lingerie (I think... or was it another pesky erotic dream?)

I was thinking about as for the past 10 years I have tried to do it but due to being in the wrong country / work / exams I have always missed out on doing it. I'm goin g to have to leave it to the last minute. too much stuff on at the moment and not enough dosh to finance it all.
